Sometimes it is helpful to record what you're eating. Maybe you're not sure if you're eating enough vegetables, or drinking enough water. Or perhaps you don't realize how often you're having those extra snacks. Attached is a simplified chart where you can record what you're eating/drinking & any symptoms that you might be having.
My fav app for this is Cronometer. This app is free, but there is a paid version which offers more features.
Cronometer will tell you the percentage/grams of macros you're consuming (protein, fat, carbs), your fibre, as well as your consumption of vitamins & minerals. The app is user friendly & will give you a week's summary of how things are averaging out. I love getting this data for patients. It helps both of us see where there's room to improve, or where you're already excelling.
***If you find that tracking your food creates any stress or negatively impacts you in anyway, don't do it.
